			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This Friday the 9<sup>th</sup> Dec 2011 will be the last Cub meeting for the year.  We will be having our Christmas party, so uniforms do not need to be worn.  On Sunday 11<sup>th</sup> December 2011 we will be hosting the district Scout carol service.  We would like to encourage as many Cubs to attend as possible and extend the invitation to parents, family and friends.  It will start at 3pm and run for approximately an hour.  Some of the Cubs will be doing readings at the service. Tea and coffee will be provided at the end of the services.</p>
<p>We will be kicking off the new year on the 6<sup>th</sup> January 2012.</p>
<p>Hope you all have a great Christmas and a restful New Year.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Arrangements are well underway for the ever popular Cub weekend away.  We have secured the date of the 11<sup>th</sup> to the 13<sup>th</sup> May 2012 at Ardnabannon Outdoor  Education Centre near Castlewellan.  This is an exciting opportunity for our cubs to take part in a variety of activities  such as kayaking, canoeing, archery and bouldering, all led by the staff at Ardnabannon.  All activities will be  weather permitting with an emphasis on safety above all else.    The total cost of the weekend will be £45 per  child which will cover accommodation, meals and activities.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>In order to secure your child’s place on the camp we are asking for a deposit of £10 to be paid by the end of November 2011.  The balance must be paid by the end of March<br />
2012.  Although this date seems quite far off, we felt it would be helpful for parents to get this information as far in advance as possible in order to budget for this event.</p>
