Cubs District Campfire – 23 September 2011

23rd September

Cubs District Campfire

Meet at Church Hall – 6.45pm, then walk to Crawfordsburn Scout Centre via Coastal Path

Bring a small torch, strong walking shoes and waterproof coat. Hi-Vis vests will be provided to the Cubs when walking but bright coats and armbands would be useful.

Marshmallows and a stick to cook them on will be useful (but not essential) too!

Drop Cubs off at West Church as usual and pick up from Campfire Circle or Cabin at Crawfordsburn depending on weather at 9pm.

Don’t try to come all the way in by car! This is a district event and there will be around 90 cubs to be picked up all at the same time.

Scout Group Service at West Church 6th March

Thank you very much to everyone who came along last Sunday to our Scout Group Service. The Cubs were very well turned out with clean scarves and uniforms and all of the leaders were very impressed with the reading and singing. You also did very well in remaking your Cub Scout Promise.

Extra thanks go to parents, grandparents and other family members who came to Church and joined in with Cubs and all the other sections.
